A few weeks ago, a news story caught my attention: a group of 10th-grade students from IES Josep de Ribera in Xàtiva achieved an inspiring milestone. What was it? They won first prize at the XX Feria Experimenta 2025 with their project VIONICS, a floating vehicle powered by an ionic engine. This pioneering prototype, which combines advanced technologies like 3D printing, high voltage, and helium buoyancy, stands out for its technical complexity, creativity, and sustainable approach.

UPV Shows Solidarity Amid the DANA Disaster

In recent days, we have closely followed the devastating effects of the DANA that has ravaged several areas of Spain, the Valencian Community, and, most severely, the province of Valencia. We are facing a catastrophe that likely surpasses the 1957 flood and most other disasters experienced by our country in recent history. The number of human lives lost is heartbreaking, and from the Universitat Politècnica de València, we share in the sorrow of their families and loved ones.
