The best is yet to come

One year into Rector José Capilla's second term, the UPV has demonstrated that this was not a time for transition, but for progress. With students as the absolute priority, support programs, psychological assistance, and practical learning opportunities have been strengthened, transforming our campuses into spaces where students not only study, but also create and innovate. At the same time, the university has launched the largest Public Employment Offer in its recent history, with 237 positions for teaching and research staff and 65 for technical and environmental science staff, a clear commitment to talent, stability, and generational renewal.

This first year has also been marked by strategic decisions that shape the future: the approval of the 2025-2028 Investment Plan, with €117 million allocated to modernize and transform infrastructure in Valencia, Alcoy, and Gandia, and an unprecedented milestone in internationalization: the university's own campus in China, which will begin its academic activities this academic year. A university that invests, attracts talent, and expands its reach is a university that moves forward with ambition. And this is just the beginning.

These are achievements of our entire community: our students, our technical, management, administrative, and service staff, and our teaching and research staff. We now have five exciting years ahead.

And the best is yet to come.
