The Rector of the Universitat Politècnica de València, Professor Pepe Capilla, has participated in a round table in which a perspective of the Valencian economy has been presented from the different agents that participate in it: university, business and administration.
The event in which this round table is included is titled “the polyhedral Valencian economy”, and took place at the headquarters of the Valencian Metallurgical Business Federation (FEMEVAL). In addition to the Rector of the UPV, the round table included the participation of the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Valencia, José Vicente Morata, the president of FEMEVAL, Vicente Lafuente and the Minister of Innovation, Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Nuria Montes , who was in charge of closing the session. The round table has been moderated by the Delegate of Digital Economy in the Valencian Community, the journalist Julián Larraz.
Professor Capilla has highlighted the role played by the university, and in particular the Polytechnic, as a dynamic element of the environment. The university not only provides highly qualified human resources through training, but also researches, transfers technology and helps our productive fabric to be more competitive, the Rector highlighted.
After the round table, a special issue of the magazine Médium Digital, from the Economía Digital publishing house, was presented, which includes an opinion monograph with different personalities from the Valencian Community, including the Rector Capilla. In the magazine, in line with what was discussed at the table, challenges and opportunities of the Valencian economy are analyzed and a SWOT of the Valencian Community is presented.
